N.A.I.C. Tribal Org. Authorized Full Membership and A.F.M. Ministry Authorization: N.A.I.C. FBO Tribal Org. Authorized Annual Full Membership open to anyone interested in providing N.A.I.C. Tribal Org. Health Care, N.A.I.C. Humanitarian Medical Mission or Society, Somaveda Integrated Traditional Therapies®: Thai Yoga, Traditional Thai Massage (Not Massage and or Massage Therapy as a secular practice), Ministry, Christian/Christ-Centered Ministry, Pastoral Care and Counseling, and related topics. The NAIC AFM Scope of Covered Practices Does Not include Holistic Services when offered by any person using professional medical titles such as “Doctor,” “Physician,” or “Dr.” If you offer or intend to offer services using any such or similar titles AFM is not for you! Instead, we recommend the NAIC LCHT Licence-licentiate authorization. See N.A.I.C. L.C.H.T. License for details.
Tribes and or Tribal organizations are sovereign. Therefore, they have a right to have their own healthcare system. This includes a healing center, clinic, or hospital and can be operated off Tribal land. This allows N.A.I.C. Tribal Org. providers to provide the various health care modalities they want to practice and also includes education in alternative modalities. Technically, an N.A.I.C. Tribal organization religious ministry and Native Medicine provider works for the Tribal Organization. Therefore, local, state, or federal jurisdictions do not govern them.
