N.A.I.C. Tribal Organization Authorized Full Membership (A.F.M.) and Ministry Authorization
N.A.I.C. Tribal Organization Authorized Full Membership (A.F.M.) is an annual membership available to individuals seeking to provide N.A.I.C. Tribal Organization Health Care services, participate in N.A.I.C. humanitarian medical missions or societies, and practice SomaVeda Integrated Traditional Therapies®. Authorized modalities include, but are not limited to, Thai Yoga, Traditional Thai Massage (expressly not secular massage or massage therapy), Christian or Christ-centered ministry, pastoral care and counseling, and related disciplines.
Full Membership is intended for individuals who wish to practice and share N.A.I.C. Tribal Organization health care services, SomaVeda Integrated Traditional Therapies® member services, and other approved ministry, counseling, or traditional healing (“True Medicine”) practices, with all legal protections recognized by N.A.I.C. and its sovereign ecclesiastical jurisdictions.
The scope of A.F.M. authorization does not include holistic or health-related services offered under professional medical titles such as “Doctor,” “Physician,” or “Dr.” Individuals who use or intend to use such titles are not eligible for A.F.M. authorization and should instead pursue N.A.I.C. L.C.H.T. licentiate authorization (see https://naiclegalshield.org for details).
N.A.I.C. Tribal Organizations operate as sovereign entities with the inherent right to establish and maintain their own health care systems, including healing centers, clinics, or hospitals, which may operate on or off Tribal land. Under this framework, N.A.I.C. providers deliver authorized health care modalities and educational services in alternative practices as agents of the Tribal Organization. Accordingly, such providers operate within the jurisdiction of the Tribal Organization and its ecclesiastical authority.

Approved Seminary Education in the indigenous, traditional, natural spiritual principles of Native American Medicine or SomaVeda Integrated Traditional Therapies®: Indigenous- Native American, Thai Yoga, Thai Massage, Pastoral Care and Counseling, Holistic Nutrition and related as a Lay Ministry.
Minimum Educational Requirements
The minimum approved educational requirement is successful completion of the SomaVeda® Certified Thai Yoga Practitioner Program (CTP), or equivalent training through direct instruction under the authority of a Certified SomaVeda® Teacher, delivered via classroom study, private instruction, or apprenticeship.

The collection of A.P.M. membership dues without prompt submission to N.A.I.C. for processing and registration constitutes a violation of the A.F.M. Agreement and may be deemed fraudulent.
