NAIC Cancellation and Refund Policy

N.A.I.C. I.N.C.: Cancellation / Refund Policies and Information

N.A.I.C. I.N.C. (Native American Indigenous Church I.N.C.), a Florida-chartered not-for-profit, I.R.S. 508(c)(1)(a)-compliant religious, church, and faith-based (FBO) corporation, doing business as American College of Natural Medicine, American College of Ayurveda Medicine, The Thai Yoga Center, LearnThaiYoga, LearnThaiYoga.Teachable.com, NAICLegalShield.org, and related online platforms, administers all cancellations and refunds in accordance with the following policy. This policy applies to all courses, programs, and offerings under the authority of N.A.I.C. and its Director of Education.nativefirechurch+2

Acceptance of this policy is an absolute precondition for enrollment in any program. By donating or enrolling, the student affirms that they are over twenty-one (21) years of age, have read and understood this policy, and agree to be bound by its terms without exception.

N.A.I.C. is a non-profit spiritual and educational organization that relies on donations for its products and services and expresses gratitude for the time, gifts, and service of each participant. Each situation is considered with compassion for the exchange involved; however, all contributions and donations are generally nonrefundable. In compelling circumstances, N.A.I.C. may, at its discretion, extend a credit of similar value toward future events or offerings in lieu of a refund.

N.A.I.C. I.N.C. Seminary, Program, and Course Cancellation / Refund Policy

For purposes of this policy, “Students at Large” are defined as students registered for an individual course, clinic, supervised practice, or any program of study leading to a certificate totaling fewer than 1,000 hours. Students at Large are subject to Sections C, D, and K of the N.A.I.C. Cancellation and Refund Policy. This definition does not include, nor does it apply to, international training programs.

With respect to any refunds that may be due, N.A.I.C. will distribute funds as follows:

A. Any applicant who is not accepted for admission by N.A.I.C.—including the American College of Natural Medicine, SomaVeda College of Ayurveda, The Thai Yoga Center, or any co-sponsored N.A.I.C. program or ministry-seminary—is entitled to a full refund of all monies paid.

B. Because seating in all N.A.I.C. programs is limited, all payments and deposits are deemed reservations and guarantees of placement and are therefore considered nonrefundable upon acceptance. Registrations made fewer than three (3) days in advance are accepted on a “buyer beware” basis, and no refunds will be issued except in the case of a bona fide medical emergency supported by appropriate documentation. Failure to appear (“no show”) for any class or portion of a program, without prior written approval, constitutes a default absence without cause for refund and a voluntary forfeiture of all funds paid. The sole exception is a properly documented bona fide medical emergency, supported by medical affidavits as requested.

C. Voluntary Cancellation and Change of Status If a student voluntarily cancels their agreement to participate after attending or commencing any program—beginning with the first hour of the first class—the student forfeits one hundred percent (100%) of all monies donated, except as expressly provided in Section K of this Cancellation and Refund Policy. By enrolling, the buyer, who affirms they are an adult over twenty-one (21) years of age, agrees to waive all claims to reimbursement or damages other than those specifically provided under this policy.

A student may submit a written request to change status, reschedule classes, or apply previously paid tuition from one seminary program or course to another within the N.A.I.C. system. N.A.I.C. reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to approve or deny any such request and may assess additional charges to cover any increased costs or change fees associated with an approved change of status. Submission of such a request constitutes the participant’s agreement to these terms.

D. Enrollment Time Definition For purposes of this policy, “enrollment time” is defined as the period from the actual starting date of the program to the date of the student’s last physical attendance in the N.A.I.C. program or school.

E. Extraordinary Circumstances In cases of illness, disabling accident, death in the immediate family, or other extreme circumstances beyond the student’s control, N.A.I.C. will make a reasonable and fair settlement between the student and the program.

F. Official Termination Date For purposes of determining any refund or adjustment, the official termination or withdrawal date is the last day of the student’s physical attendance in the program, school, or workshop venue, regardless of location.

G. Procedure for Status Change Requests  Any student seeking a change of status in connection with an approved or sponsored seminary, class, or function must submit a written request by regular U.S. mail to the Administrative Director at the official address of record. N.A.I.C. will respond in writing within ten (10) to thirty (30) days with an approval, a denial, or a request for additional information. As a condition of enrollment, the student understands and agrees that N.A.I.C. has the right to take this time to investigate and that such investigation shall not be construed as an unnecessary delay.

H. Investigation, Closure, and Course Cancellation N.A.I.C. reserves the right to thoroughly investigate all claims for cancellation or refund before issuing a response or granting any refund.

If the school, seminary, training program, or course of study permanently closes and ceases offering instruction after a student has enrolled, the student shall be entitled to a prorated tuition refund. If a course is canceled and not rescheduled after enrollment, N.A.I.C. may, at its sole discretion, either issue a full refund of all monies paid for that course or provide for completion of the course by other means.

I. Student Kit and Nonrefundable Materials The Student Kit, including materials, books, lab fees, and other preparatory or study items, is issued to the student before or on the first day of class and is included in the total program cost as a nonrefundable item. If a student withdraws before completing the program, no refund shall be issued for the Student Kit or for any related preparation or study materials.

No refund shall be provided for personal or professional items purchased for required program participation, including but not limited to mats, massage tables, oils, uniforms, or similar supplies. The Student Kit may also include nontransferable and nonreturnable items such as e-books, digital files, books, posters, videos, downloadable materials, discounts on separate programs offered as enrollment incentives, or adjunct training support.

These nonrefundable items shall be deducted from any approved refund at their full retail value, including shipping where applicable. N.A.I.C. further notifies the student that the retail value of course materials and digital products included with a program may exceed the total amount paid for the course itself.

J. Refund Request Procedure All refund requests must be submitted by regular U.S. mail, with no signature required, to: 8491 Central Ave., Brooksville, Florida 34613 USA. Upon receipt, N.A.I.C. will review the request to determine eligibility. N.A.I.C. will generally respond within thirty (30) days with an approval, a request for additional information, or a denial. If a refund is approved, disbursement shall be made by check in accordance with the schedule set forth in Section K.

K. Nonrefundable Donations; Limited Medical Emergency Exception; Replacement Registration All deposits, registration payments, seminary donations, online course donations, N.A.I.C. L.C.H.T. member application donations, class payments, and all other N.A.I.C. donations are deemed 100% nonrefundable, subject to applicable deductions and penalties under this policy.

The sole medical exception applies only in the case of a bona fide medical emergency, verified by a licensed Medical Doctor, that prevents the participant from attending or participating in any capacity whatsoever in the specific N.A.I.C. program or in any substantially similar program or professional work. Chronic or pre-existing conditions do not qualify unless certified as a medical emergency requiring hospitalization and of such severity that participation is impossible.

In such an approved case, any refund shall be calculated based on the remaining balance paid, less all nonrefundable or previously used amounts, including the $150.00 registration fee per individual course, the cost of materials and the Student Kit (including downloadable files, MP3 files, PDF materials, and similar items), and any applicable early termination fee.

The only other authorized exception is replacement registration. If the participant provides a new, fully paid registration of equal or greater value as a replacement, N.A.I.C. will allow a 100% refund.

Any refund request relating to SomaVeda® Certified Course book sets, course materials, uniforms, or other materials purchased from the N.A.I.C. Church for any purpose, including scheduled classes or programs, shall be governed by this Cancellation and Refund Policy and, where applicable, by the SomaVeda® Teacher Agreement and contract.

If N.A.I.C. approves a refund as part of a settlement, the balance remaining after all deductions and penalties shall be paid in three (3) to five (5) equal installments, by check, over a period of one hundred twenty (120) to two hundred twenty-five (225) days, averaging approximately one payment every forty-five (45) days.

L. No-Show, Ethics Violations, and Dispute Jurisdiction No-shows or failures to appear for class, as well as violations of the N.A.I.C. Code of Ethics or related rules, policies, and guidelines (RPGs), constitute grounds for immediate dismissal from the program and cancellation of any remaining courses or lessons, without notice or recourse, including refunds, except as provided for bona fide medical emergencies under Section K.

N.A.I.C. members, students, and participants acknowledge that all N.A.I.C. programs operate under N.A.I.C. Church and ecclesiastical authority, and agree that any and all disputes shall be resolved solely within the jurisdiction of the Church. Enrollment in any program constitutes the student’s acknowledgement that they have reviewed this policy, including the Additional Responsibility Waiver and standard agreement, and agree to all terms as a prerequisite to enrollment. The student further agrees to hold N.A.I.C. and its representatives harmless from any actions or legal proceedings arising out of or related to any request for a refund, as a condition of participation in any N.A.I.C.-sponsored program.

M. Payment Commitments, Chargebacks, and Recovery of Losses By enrolling, the participant affirms that they are over twenty-one (21) years of age and that any payments made by cashier’s check, bank wire, cash, credit card, PayPal, Parallel, Fortis, Stripe, or similar methods constitute a binding commitment to pay all amounts due in full under the terms of this agreement. In the event of cancellation of a payment, initiation of a chargeback, or filing of a dispute with a payment provider or credit card company that results in loss of income, fees, dues, or tuition of any kind to N.A.I.C., the participant agrees to reimburse N.A.I.C. for the full amount of such loss within ten (10) days by cash, certified check, or money order.

The participant further agrees to fully reimburse all legal fees, attorney’s fees, and associated costs incurred by N.A.I.C. in connection with the recovery of any such losses arising from chargebacks, reversals, or similar actions. Acceptance of these terms is a precondition to enrollment in any N.A.I.C.-sponsored seminary, class, or program.

N. Courtesy Payment Plan and Consequences of Late or Nonpayment N.A.I.C. I.N.C. (the “Church”) may, at its sole discretion, offer a Courtesy Payment Plan allowing donations to be made on a scheduled basis instead of requiring payment in full at registration. All payment-plan donations must be made in strict accordance with the agreed-upon schedule. Late payments under the Courtesy Payment Plan are grounds to deny or revoke acceptance or enrollment.

Any payment that is more than ten (10) days in arrears will incur a late fee of 45.00 USD, assessed on the eleventh (11th) day. Monthly stipends or continuing fees for any degree program not paid in full within thirty (30) days of the due date will result in suspension of the student’s account and loss of course access until one hundred percent (100%) of all amounts due, including any late fees, have been paid. Subject to the enrollment agreement, extended or unresolved arrears may result in revocation of the agreement, imposition of restoration fees, and forfeiture of program credit, active enrollment status, and all donation payments previously made, without further notice or consideration.

This Cancellation and Refund Policy is subject to periodic review and may be updated or modified at any time. The sole required notice of any changes shall be the posting of the revised policy on this page, which may include specific agreements and conditions applicable to individual students on a case-by-case basis.

O. RESPONSIBILITY: Limitations Thereof
Contract for Services Agreement and Waiver of Liability

N.A.I.C. Inc. Third-Party Authorized Representatives (within or outside the USA and U.S. territories): The Native American Indigenous Church, Inc. (N.A.I.C.), the American College of Natural Medicine (formerly SomaVeda College of Natural Medicine), the SomaVeda College of Ayurveda Medicine, The Thai Yoga Center, their integrated auxiliaries, Saving Grace Ministry, Priory of Saving Grace, SMOKH, and any authorized representatives or assignees act solely as agents in arranging accommodations (including hotels, dormitories, and guest houses) and transportation.

The participant agrees that the sponsoring organization, its agents, and its suppliers shall not be liable for any injury, damage, loss, accident, delay, irregularity, liability, or expense to person or property resulting from any act, omission, or default of any hotel, guest house, carrier, restaurant, company, or individual providing or rendering services included in, or made available to the participant during, the program. The participant expressly agrees, as a precondition to participation, to indemnify and hold harmless N.A.I.C. Inc., its directors, ministers, teachers, volunteers, and designated representatives from any loss arising out of or related to participation in the program.

All tickets, coupons, tariffs, rules, contracts, and applicable currency terms of carriers, hotels, guest houses, restaurants, or other contractors providing services (including food, meals, and snacks) constitute the sole contract between such providers and the participant. Participation in any potentially risky activities is undertaken solely at the participant’s discretion and risk, including activities during personal time outside the regular scope and schedule of seminary programs, classes, and related events.

P. Donations Non-Refundable and Payment Commitment

Donations are non-refundable. Any payments made via credit card, PayPal, WePay, Amazon Pay, FortisPay, or any similar processor constitute a binding commitment to pay in full under the agreed terms. The participant agrees to pay all amounts due in total and acknowledges that any cancellation of payment, chargeback, or dispute that causes loss of income, fees, dues, or tuition of any kind to N.A.I.C. must be fully covered or reimbursed by the participant within ten (10) days by cash, certified check, or money order. The participant further agrees to indemnify and reimburse all legal and attorney fees incurred in recovering losses arising from nonpayment, chargebacks, or transaction reversals. All programs of study are under N.A.I.C. ecclesiastical jurisdiction, and all monies paid are deemed non-refundable donations to N.A.I.C. Acceptance of these terms is a precondition to participation.

Q. Liability, Force Majeure, and Insurance

The sponsoring organization, its agents, and suppliers accept no responsibility for any damage, delay, irregularity, or liability arising from pilferage, labor disputes, machinery breakdown, quarantine, government restraints, war, weather conditions, defects in any vehicle or mode of transportation, or any misadventure, casualty, or other cause beyond their control. Any additional expenses or damages resulting from changes in schedules, services, or conditions outside their control are the sole responsibility of the participant. Program rates apply only for the stated period and are subject to the laws of the jurisdiction in which accommodations, services, and facilities are rendered.

The participant is solely responsible for securing adequate insurance coverage, including travel medical insurance and lost baggage insurance. In lieu of such insurance, the participant agrees that all liability for loss, illness (including infectious diseases), side effects from treatments such as vaccines or boosters, accidents, or events categorized as force majeure or acts of God rests entirely with the participant. The land at the N.A.I.C. Sanctuary, leased or rental facilities, a religious and nature sanctuary, may be used for walking, hiking, and similar activities; the participant agrees to hold the program, landowners, and representatives harmless for any accident, injury, insect or animal encounter, or similar occurrence on the property, whether during or outside scheduled classes.

R. Non-Therapeutic Nature of Programs and Personal Responsibility

The seminary, class, or program is not intended to be therapeutic as defined under secular, state, or federal law, nor to provide therapeutic or medical services. Any discussion of personal medical issues is incidental to participation in generalized educational courses about health and healing and does not constitute the rendering of medical services. Any personal health advice, consultation, or treatment arises, if at all, under a separate and privileged church–communicant relationship and ministerial counseling agreement.

The participant affirms that they are of sound mind and body and emotionally stable to engage in spiritual, health, healing, therapy, and counseling classes, including potentially mature topics, discussions, materials, and graphics. Participation is entirely voluntary, and the participant accepts full responsibility for their mental, emotional, spiritual, and physical welfare during all classes and activities. The participant understands that, in the study and practice of various therapeutic models and procedures, there may be instances of partial or therapeutic nudity; this is not offensive to the participant and is not a condition of participation. Any such instances, including possible “sky-clad” or partial nudity when appropriate, will be conducted in a dignified manner. In the study of SomaVeda Integrated Traditional Therapies® and holistic healing, graphic representations of body parts, including the breast, may be referenced. Reasonable care is taken to provide safe environments for all in-class and out-of-class activities.

S. Right to Cancel, Substitute, or Dismiss

N.A.I.C. and its representatives reserve the right to cancel, change, or substitute services, classes, courses, or personnel at any time, without notice or explanation, and to decline to accept or retain any student or participant before, during, or after completion of any program. This right applies to all programs, including but not limited to CTP1–4, TCP, A.S.A., BSSc, D.S.N.M., D.S.A.M., D.S.T.I.M., N.A.I.C. LCHT, D.M.M., and Student-at-Large registrations.

Participants agree, as a precondition to participation, to comply with all rules, procedures, and guidelines stated or amended by N.A.I.C. staff during any class or program. Any member or participant who fails to comply, or who presents a risk or difficulty to the goodwill of the program or the safety of the director, staff, or other participants, may be summarily dismissed at the director’s discretion, without recourse or refund. Illegal activities are strictly prohibited and will be reported to the appropriate authorities.

T. Membership Requirement and Completion Conditions

N.A.I.C., as provider, operates as a private religious education and health membership association. Membership is required before participating in any class or receiving any services, exchanges, or practice from staff or other students. A separate N.A.I.C. Authorized Participant Membership Agreement must be executed before any class participation.

All tuition amounts are based on current rates and agreements in effect at the time of registration. All graduations, certifications, awards, and similar recognitions are strictly conditional upon full payment of all amounts due and the satisfactory completion of all criteria and program requirements. No exceptions or partial certificates will be issued without a separate written agreement.

U. Travel Responsibility and Binding Nature of Agreement

The program and its representatives are not responsible for transportation arrangements or any accident or incident related to travel to or from any course or program venue.

By participating in this program, the participant acknowledges and agrees that these terms are binding and constitute an agreement between N.A.I.C. and the participant. Acceptance of these terms is a precondition for participation in all N.A.I.C. programs, whether online or in person, including courses, classes, apprenticeships, and work-study arrangements as described in the applicable program materials. All cancellations and refunds are governed exclusively by N.A.I.C.’s published Cancellation and Refund Policy.

The participant affirms that they are of legal age and fully capable of signing and accepting this agreement responsibly.

N.A.I.C. I.N.C. Authorized Participant, Basic, Full, and Commissioned Vocational Cards and Licenses

These contributions support an educational campaign by N.A.I.C. founders and associated professionals to inform governing bodies of the unique rights and protections of Independent Branches and their participants through an online knowledge base and references to applicable court precedents.

N.A.I.C. Inc. is a non-profit religious, tribal, spiritual, and educational organization that relies on donations to provide church member products and services and is grateful for every participant’s time, gifts, and support. In compelling circumstances, N.A.I.C. may, at its discretion, offer a credit of comparable value toward future events or offerings in lieu of a refund.
